Gidge is a duo consisting of Jonatan Nilsson and Ludvig Stolterman from Umeå, in the north of Sweden. If you are looking for serene soundscapes and the type of instrumentation that’s reminiscent of tones and textures of a lush green forest, this is such an album for you. Musical and emotional, Autumn Bells has endless blend of swirling melodies, brooding pitched vocals layered against driving breaks and more upbeat sounds.
Mastered by Pascal Terstappen and cut for vinyl by Greg Moore, who now has just moved from Masterpiece to Finyl Tweek and released by Atomnation Netherlands. His mastering is beautifully understated and suits these gorgeous ambient lullabies perfectly. This Pallas pressing has impressive dynamics & depths to keep these delicate sounds intriguing. The overall sound is crisp and clean like a walk in the open Nordic nature. At the same time, it is warm and fuzzy like sitting beside a fire place on a chilly autumn day.
